• Market recovery in 2024: Total clinker and cement consumption reached 94.4 mn tons in 2024, up 9.8% y.o.y, driven by a strong recovery in domestic demand (66.5 mn tons), while export volumes remained sluggish at 27.8 mn ton 
• Positive signs of market recovery were observed in both domestic and export market during 5M2025, supported by the rebound of the domestic real estate industry and manufacturers' diversification into emerging export markets. 
• Capacity expansion driven by two newly added facilities in 2024: These facilities increased the Country’s clinker capacity by 7.4mn tons and cement capacity by 4.6mn tons. The average utilization rate of Vietnam cement industry improved from 58% in 2023 to 64% in 2024. 
• Local players continue to dominate the market: Local players accounted for approximately 55% of market share by domestic cement sales volume in 2024 with big names including Long Son, Vissai, Xuan Thanh, Cong Thanh & Thanh Thang. 
• Cement companies recorded improved profitability in 2024, supported by higher utilization rate, improved domestic consumption, export diversification, and stable coal price. 
• Positive Outlook from 2025 onward, supported by a recovering  domestic construction and real estate sector, along with  projected double-digit growth in  clinker exports to emerging markets.
