Korea is the largest FDI investor in Vietnam and Korean companies also prefer to expand their business in Vietnam via M&A or equity transactions. IFC Korea is actively looking for working with Korean companies who expand their business in Vietnam and who could need financing in various form such as equity and debt financings to their expansion in Vietnam There is a lack of in-depth and well-organized information about such investors who are already in Vietnam and who would potentially seek to make investments in Vietnam

Solution:

FiinResearch was selected by IFC Korea to study the investment flows especially with M&A and equity investments into Vietnamese companies which have potential financing demand FiinResearch also helped review and shortlist 20 potential Korean corporate investors in Vietnam and discussed for potential financing partnership with IFC Korea

Results:

A comprehensive report was delivered and presented to IFC Korea for landscape of capital investments by Korean corporate investors in Vietnam and a shortlisted of investors identified for further exploration with IFC Korea
